HC THE MOVIE
A Comedy Short Film, Written & Produced By Dennis Joyner & Damon Blackman
Joyner Boys Productions and Lot Films U.S.A.
collaborate to produce their short indie film HC “The Movie”. The production staff will be directed by Harry B. Sando (www.sandopictures.com). Meet Nathan Carter (Nate), a struggling career criminal with big dreams and many failed schemes to get rich. Nate has tried and failed everything he could think of to get rich, only to find himself behind bars. After his last attempt to get money on the wrong side of the law with his PIC (Partner In Crime) JJ, Nate has a talk with his mother that drives him to try and do things right. Nate enlists the help of a childhood friend (an African named Papoose) who wants to start a Company and the two become partners in a joint venture. As Co-Owner of the company Nate goes from being chased by police, to being chased by the rival company, and the loan shark that fronted him his half of the start up money. |
Nate’s road to riches is filled with hilarious obstacles, and side splitting, bumps and potholes. Its stellar and diverse cast of characters also adds to the comedic genius. But HC- The Movie is not just another comedy, it’s laced with many morals to one big story, with the main being, “No matter how far left you go on your path, it only takes a change in the opposite direction to put you on the right track.”HC- The Movie, also tackles the issue of Black on Black racism, which is ever so apparent in Harlem, NY, between its African American and African neighbors.
In other words, if you were to combine Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing”, with Ice Cube’s “Friday”, you’d get “HC- The Movie.” |

Damon Blackman, A Music Industry “Super Producer” better known too most as “Dame Grease”, created HC’s story. Dennis Joyner, a hip-hop artist, lends his hand as the writer of the film. The two men grew up in Harlem and as such have created a story that has a real foundation.
Overall, Just as the Script is a “Must Read”, “HC- The Movie” will be a guarantee “Must See” Film. In an effort to make the short indie film successful they are extending invitations for cameos to their Industry peers.
